Resumen
La presente contribución persigue ofrecer una modesta reflexión sobre la expulsión de la historia de la Constitución en Iberoamérica de la historiografía constitucional comparada, a pesar de que aquélla constituyó en su momento una suerte de tercera modelo, después del norteamericano y francés, de fijación formal del constitucionalismo. A estos efectos, se sugiere que, más allá de la debilidad y fracasos de la Constitución en Iberoamérica, hay una serie de obstáculos metodológicos que han venido contribuyendo a la invisibilización del constitucionalismo iberoamericano en la historiografía comparada sobre el nacimiento, implantación y expansión (prácticamente universal) del instrumento político-jurídico que representa la Constitución moderna. Abstract
The present contribution aims to offer a modest reflection about the expulsion from the history of the Ibero-American Constitution of comparative constitutional historiography, even though it was at the time a third model, after that of an American and French model, of formal establishment of constitutionalism. To this end, it is suggested that, beyond the weakness and failures of the Constitution in Ibero-America, there are a number of methodological challenges that have been contributing to the invisibility of Ibero-American constitutionalism in comparative historiography about the (practically universal) birth, introduction and expansion of the political and juridical instrument represented by the modern Constitution.
